We like all 5 of these camping destinations. Destination number 3 might be a little weird. What do you think?
Stunning is how most people describe this location. One hiker reported:
“We had super weather and all trails were in good shape. Hiking down to Cottonwood had some areas where the trail is like wading through a tall plant ocean. We just made sure we talked loud as there was plenty of bear signs. We did not see any bears, except for one on the road to the trail-head”.

Jagged cliffs pummeled by surf line the Pacific Coast Highway along Big Sur, creating some of California’s most memorable ocean vistas between Carmel and the northern tip of San Luis Obispo County.
Jack Kerouac and Henry Miller found inspiration in its fog-banked canyons and meadows. Gray whales migrate past twice a year, and elephant seals bask on the sandy shores.

Tree Camping in Germany at Waldseilgarten, Bavaria; Does it make you think of the song “welcome to the jungle?”
Almost I promise you that tree camping is camping like nothing you’ve done before. Seriously. Sleeping in a tent hanging over 6,000 feet in the air might make you feel a lot like Tarzan, or perhaps like Jane.
Without a doubt unique in its luxury style. High atop a Bavarian mountain summit, try a night suspended between several trees, or suspended over a cliff face, or perhaps a night’s stay in your own hand-built igloo (winter only).
Let’s take a moment to say, Damn that would be cool! And yeah, cold too. But that’s okay – it’s an igloo!!! Source

The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks. This red rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations, refresh you with its trails, and inspire you with its sunsets. Source
