There’s a lot of DIY air conditioners on the internet, and some of them work to varing degrees. We’ve even posted some of those homemade air conditioners here on The Good Survivalist.

We think this is one of the best we’ve seen to date. This DIY air conditioner is very sturdy, cheap, and easy to make, and it works great. Go to page 2 to see how easy it is to make, and how it works.

We like this version of other DIY air conditioners due to it’s sturdy design. This consists of a regular fan using only 29 watts of power, a coleman cooler, and a dryer vent.

Simply fill the cooler with frozen water bottles, and enjoy 50 degree air conditioning in a small room in your house for about 6 to 8 hours. This thing works great!!!

If you have alternative power (such as solar)… things you worry about is the electrical loads your running. Regular air conditioners use about 900 watts of power. This SHTF air conditioner only uses 29 watts of power. Not too shabby!! Watch the video now to see how easy it is to make this DIY SHTF air conditioner.
