How To Build A Wickiup – The Ultimate, Longer Term Survival Shelter

The Method of the day for Survivalists:

This precursor of the American Indian tepee is still the classic primitive shelter. It’s strong enough to ward off prevailing winds, it’s weatherproof, and can be constructed fairly fast.

It is quite comfortable for use as a longer-term home. It can be partly closed or fully enclosed and ventilated to allow a fire inside.

This is one of the better longer term survival shelters you can make. We like it because it is fairly easy to make, and with a little help can be completed quickly. As you’ll see in the video you have some options and can be made to be quite comfortable.
